Breastfeeding Foundation for Doctors |
Breastfeeding Foundation for Doctors is a wholly online course about lactation and breastfeeding management. It is designed for medical practitioners working with women antenatally and during the early postpartum. It covers all aspects of the 10 Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, and is therefore suitable for staff education as required by the Baby Friendly Hospitals’ Initiative accreditation process.
Aim of the course The aim if the course is to provide participants with the opportunity to gain an excellent understanding of the 10 Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, which will allow them to educate and assist mothers to breastfeed their infants in a manner which is consistent and evidence-based, and results in high breastfeeding initiation rates with a lesser number of women experiencing difficulties.Assessment Successful achievement of the objectives is assessed by multiple choice quiz. Your results are available immediately after submission, and you have 3 attempts of achieve the passing grade.Course Administration Enrollment into the course and notification of passwords occurs online. This course is not facilitated, however the Professional Development Educator is always available to answer any questions by email.
