Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Health e-Learning maintains accreditation with various bodies. Please see our Course Accreditation List for a graphical table of all the accreditation details for all our courses.

CERPs

Almost all our courses provide CERPs. Please see each course description (under the Courses menu) to see the type and amount of CERPs offered.

CERPs are a continuing education credit for IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants).

CPDs (Australian Midwives and Nurses)

New regulations require Australian Midwives and Nurses to collect 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year.

This is goverened by AHPRA and the Nursing and Midwifery Board

You do not need to specify what CPD you did when filling our your annual registration information (you just need to acknowledge that you have done 20 hours), however if you are randomly selected for auditing, you will need to provide your evidence. This evidence should include

  • dates
  • a brief description of the outcomes
  • the number of hours spent in each activity

The certificate you receive upon successful completion states the date and number of hours. Aims and Outcomes are listed in the course description on our website.

Please see the board's FAQ for more information.

Recertifying by CERPs?

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Almost all courses that we provide are accredited to award you with CERPs upon successful completion of the course.

You are encouraged to be selective about how you earn your CERPs. Your aim should be to choose courses that extend your current knowledge. For example if you work in one area a lot, then brushing up in areas you don't work will keep you current (eg work in the community: do Preterm Baby or First Week courses for CERPs).

Then there's the Advanced Practice series that we've just commenced, and the Experts-in-Lactation Lectures to listen to. They'll extend your knowledge and skills. And of course don't miss the GOLD conference each year!

We've also created a CERPs calculator - a handy tool that will help you find the quickest or most cost effective ways to earn your CERPs.
