This presentation will include the latest evidence-based research about the traditional approach to the introduction of complementary foods compared to the Baby Led Weaning (BLW) approach. More and more parents are opting for BLW so it’s important to make sure they proceed safely and offer the appropriate foods to balance breastfeeding with solids.

Jessica Coll is a registered dietitian and Board Certified Lactation Consultant IBCLC. She is the founder of the International Baby Led Weaning Network of Healthcare Professionals and the creator of Nutrition for Baby.
Her network now has more than 120 members in 9 countries. Members of her network get everything they need to teach Starting Solids workshops in their own city.
Jessica worked in Austin Texas for a number of years in the breastfeeding promotion and nutrition education teams. She is now based in Montreal (Canada).
