Health e-Learning maintains accreditation with various bodies.

CERPs

Almost all our courses provide CERPs. Please see each course description (under the Courses menu) to see the type and amount of CERPs offered.

CERPs are a continuing education credit for IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants).

CERPs can also be used for ALPP reaccreditation, see below.

CPDs (Midwives and Nurses)

Midwives and Nurses can use this education to collect their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) education hours each year.

Please verify with your specific governing bodies what is required as it may differ from country to country.

You may not need to specify what CPD you did when filling our your annual registration information (you may simply need to acknowledge the hours you have completed), however, if you are randomly selected for auditing, you will likely need to provide your evidence. This evidence should include

  • dates
  • a brief description of the outcomes
  • the number of hours spent in each activity

The certificate you receive upon successful completion states the date and number of hours. Aims and Outcomes are listed in the course description on our website.

Please see the board's FAQ for more information.

CEU (Nurses)

Wikipedia provides a good definition of CEUs here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuing_education_unit

Health e-Learning is an accredited provider California Board of Registered Nursing. Provider number (CEP) 15684 and is currently approved until January 31, 2025.

Please refer to your credentialing body or renewal application. You may be required to obtain education specific to your specialty. As a guide:

1 CERP
= 1 CME or 0.1 CEU or 60 Minutes or 1 CPD or 1 Contact Hour

ALPP - CLC

Certified Lactation Counselors (CLC) are required to obtain a minimum of 18 hours of continuing education in the area of breastfeeding and human lactation every three years.

CERPs are accepted for ALPP recertification requirements as long as the term “breastfeeding,” “lactation,” or “human milk” appears in the title of the course. Any courses that provide the “L” or “E” category CERPs count towards the recertification requirements.

Replacement certificates incur an administration fee of US$25 each and can be paid through the online enrolment form. Please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. first to check that a replacement is possible.

If you need the certificate to submit to IBLCE - you may wish to download a FREE copy of your Academic Transcript - this is an official record that IBLCE has indicated they will accept as proof of your studies. Click here for more information.

Almost all courses that we provide are accredited to award you with CERPs upon successful completion of the course.

You are encouraged to be selective about how you earn your CERPs. Your aim should be to choose courses that extend your current knowledge. For example if you work in one area a lot, then brushing up in areas you don't work will keep you current (eg work in the community: do Preterm Baby or First Week courses for CERPs).

Then there's the Advanced Practice series that we've just commenced, and the Experts-in-Lactation Lectures to listen to. They'll extend your knowledge and skills.
